The President of Republic Indonesia Opens The G20 Summit, TNI Provides Comfort and Prioritizes Security

Badung - The highlight of the G20 Summit Presidency took place today, Tuesday (15/11/2022), was opened directly by The President of Republic Indonesia Ir. H. Joko Widodo. With tight security, it was preceded by a welcoming event directly by the President of Republic Indonesia to state guests attending at the Apurva Kempinski Hotel, Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali.

The opening ceremony was marked by the striking of gavel, the President of Republic Indonesia stated "Your Excellencies, Leaders, today I declare the G20 Summit to be opened. That it was an honor for Indonesia to host the G20 Summit".

According to the President of Republic Indonesia, today the world is focused on this meeting and hopes that the G20 Summit must succeed and must not fail.  "However, success can only be achieved if we are all committed, work hard, set aside our differences to produce something concrete and something useful for the world," said the President.

 After the opening, the meeting of state leaders took place behind closed doors with the theme 'Recover Together, Recover Stronger' which was scheduled to discuss three priority issues in the Presidency of the 2022 G20 Indonesia Summit, namely global health architecture, digital transformation and sustainable energy transition.

 With the holding of a meeting of state leaders at the Presidency of the G20 Summit starting today, the security factor is a top priority.  So that the TNI as the person in charge of the security sector continues to coordinate and collaborate with the security staff of each Head of State who is present.

 In addition, support from various elements and various stakeholders is also very important for the success of these various activity agendas.  Because Indonesia's success as the host in the Presidency of G20 Summit can have an impact on increasing world confidence, that Indonesia is safe and comfortable to visit.  (Pendam IX/Udy)
