Pussiberad Conducts Vulnerability Assessment and Cyber Education in Malang

  

MALANG - In response to the growing threat of cyber attacks, the Indonesian Army’s together with the held an Initial Briefing for the 2026 Vulnerability Assessment (VA) and Information Campaign at the Korem 083/Bdj Headquarters on Tuesday (May 19, 2026).


The activity was officially opened by the Chief of Staff of Korem 083/Bdj, Lt. Col. Inf. Rahmat Cahyo Dinarso, S.Hub.Int., M.M., representing the Commander of Korem 083/Bdj. The event was led by the Head of the Pussiberad Team, Col. Cke Triyadi Sujatmiko, S.Sos., M.Tr.(Han), and attended by section chiefs and staff officers of the Korem.


In the speech of the Korem Commander delivered by the Kasrem, it was emphasized that modern warfare no longer occurs solely on physical battlefields, but also in cyberspace. Attacks targeting information systems, communication networks, and the spread of disinformation have become serious threats that must be anticipated.


Through the Vulnerability Assessment activity, the Pussiberad team conducted early detection of potential weaknesses within the unit’s digital systems. Korem 083/Bdj also reaffirmed its commitment to being open to the assessment process and ready to follow up on any improvement recommendations provided.


In addition to system inspections, the activity included an Information Campaign for soldiers, civil servants, and Persit members regarding the importance of responsible social media use, personal data protection, and cyber fraud prevention. The education campaign is considered an essential step in building cyber awareness culture within the military environment.


Through its synergy with Pussiberad, Korem 083/Bdj hopes to further strengthen information security and the unit’s digital resilience in order to support operational duties and safeguard the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia in the modern era. (*)
