Foundation Construction Begins at Imanuel Church Under TNI AD Karya Bakti Program
ALOR, East Nusa Tenggara — June 5, 2026 – The implementation of the Indonesian Army’s (TNI AD) Large-Scale Community Service Program (Karya Bakti Skala Besar) in Alor Regency continues to show positive progress. On Friday (05/06/2026), the TNI AD Community Service Task Force carried out the concrete casting of foundation pillar reinforcements at Imanuel Church, located in Nurbenlelang Village, North Central Alor District, Alor Regency.
The activity is part of the house of worship rehabilitation program conducted jointly by TNI AD and the local community. The foundation casting marked the initial stage in the construction of an additional room at the rear section of the church, which will later be directly connected to the main building and function as a pastoral room to support church services.
Present during the activity was the Operations Officer of Kodim 1622/Alor, First Lieutenant (Lettu Inf) Matias Modom, serving as the Coordinator for the Rehabilitation of Uninhabitable Houses (RTLH), Mosque Rehabilitation, and Church Rehabilitation. The activity also involved 15 TNI AD personnel assigned to the Large-Scale Community Service Task Force, construction workers, and the village Babinsa of Nurbenlelang, Sergeant (Sertu) Habel Djahamou.
The involvement of TNI AD personnel in the construction of religious facilities reflects the military’s genuine concern for community needs. Through the spirit of mutual cooperation and togetherness, the construction process continues with the hope that the facility can soon be utilized by the Imanuel Church congregation to support various church services and spiritual development activities.
Commander of Kodim 1622/Alor, Lieutenant Colonel (Letkol Czi) Arya Dharma, S.T., stated that the church rehabilitation program is part of the Indonesian Army’s dedication to the community.
“This church rehabilitation activity is a manifestation of TNI AD’s commitment to serving the community. We believe that through the spirit of cooperation between the military and local residents, we can restore this house of worship while strengthening solidarity within the community. Hopefully, this church will once again become a strong center of faith and a source of hope for the entire congregation,” said the Commander.
Through the implementation of the Large-Scale Community Service Program, it is hoped that the harmonious relationship between TNI and the community will grow even stronger and provide tangible benefits for social and religious life in Alor Regency.
