129th TMMD Kicks Off in Bangka with Major Infrastructure and Community Development Projects
Bangka, July 15, 2026 – The 129th TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) Program for Fiscal Year 2026 was officially launched during an opening ceremony held at the Deniang Village Football Field, Riau Silip District, Bangka Regency, on Wednesday (July 15, 2026). The event, attended by approximately 700 participants, reflected the strong synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the regional government, the National Police (Polri), relevant agencies, state-owned enterprises, the private sector, and local communities in accelerating rural development.
The ceremony was attended by Commander of Korem 045/Garuda Jaya Brigadier General TNI Nur Wahyudi, S.E., M.H., M.I.Pol., Bangka Regent H. Fery Insani, S.E., M.M., Commander of Kodim 0413/Bangka Colonel Czi Yoga Febrianto, S.H., M.Si., the Deputy Regent of Bangka, the Speaker of the Bangka Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), regional government officials, representatives of state-owned enterprises, banking institutions, community leaders, university students, school students, and various community organizations.
According to the implementation readiness report, the TMMD program will run from July 15 to August 13, 2026, involving 150 task force personnel with support from local residents and various organizations.
The physical development targets include the construction of a 9-kilometer road with a width of 9 meters, one culvert, the rehabilitation of two uninhabitable houses (RTLH), and the construction of two drilled wells. In addition to infrastructure projects, the program also includes non-physical activities such as civic and state defense awareness programs, health education, medical services, stunting reduction initiatives, social assistance, organic fertilizer production training, and creative economy development for local communities.
In his remarks, Bangka Regent H. Fery Insani emphasized that TMMD represents tangible proof of the close partnership between the TNI and the people, as well as the strong collaboration between the regional government and all stakeholders in accelerating village development.
> "TMMD is not only about building infrastructure, but also about strengthening the spirit of mutual cooperation, reinforcing national unity, and improving the quality of human resources to create an independent and prosperous society," he said.
He added that the construction of the road connecting Deniang Village and Penyamun Village is expected to eliminate regional isolation, facilitate the transportation of agricultural and plantation products, reduce transportation costs, and stimulate local economic growth.
Beyond physical infrastructure, TMMD also serves as a platform to improve community welfare through social activities, healthcare services, legal awareness programs, state defense education, blood donation drives, and community economic empowerment initiatives.
The opening ceremony also featured the signing of project agreements, the distribution of social assistance, visits to health service facilities, MSME (micro, small, and medium enterprises) exhibition booths, the TMMD command post, RTLH rehabilitation sites, and drilled well construction locations.
The ceremony concluded safely, orderly, and peacefully. The successful implementation of the 129th TMMD Program is expected to further strengthen the partnership between the TNI and the people, enhance cross-sector collaboration, and deliver tangible benefits in accelerating development and improving the welfare of communities across Bangka Regency.
