Dompu Regent Opens 129th TMMD Program to Accelerate Rural Development


Dompu, West Nusa Tenggara – Dompu Regent Bambang Firdaus, S.E., served as the Inspector of the Ceremony at the opening of the 129th TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) Fiscal Year 2026, held under the theme "TMMD Unites Steps, Building the Nation from the Villages" in Kampasi Meci Village, Manggelewa District, Dompu Regency, on Wednesday (July 15, 2026).


The opening ceremony was conducted solemnly and attended by Deputy Commander of Korem 162/Wira Bhakti Colonel Inf. I Made Alit Yudana, S.H., Commander of Kodim 1614/Dompu Lieutenant Colonel Czi Dedi Tri Sulistyo, S.I.P., Chairwoman of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana Branch XXVIII Kodim 1614/Dompu and its members, the Dompu Regency Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), religious leaders, community leaders, traditional leaders, and local residents.


In his address, Regent Bambang Firdaus stated that the TMMD program is a tangible manifestation of the synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the regional government, and the community in accelerating development in rural areas. According to him, the spirit of togetherness, mutual cooperation, and the close bond between the TNI and the people serves as the primary driving force in achieving equitable development and improving public welfare.


"TMMD has become one of the strategic instruments for realizing equitable development, strengthening the spirit of mutual cooperation, and improving the welfare of the people. This program also serves as concrete evidence of the state's presence in addressing the needs of communities, even in the most remote villages," the Regent said.


He further explained that the implementation of the 129th TMMD Fiscal Year 2026 in Dompu Regency is centered in Nusa Jaya Village and Kampasi Meci Village, both located in Manggelewa District. The program includes various physical and non-physical activities aimed at improving infrastructure, empowering local communities, and strengthening national awareness.


Through the implementation of TMMD 129, it is expected that stronger synergy will be established among the TNI, the regional government, and all elements of society, thereby accelerating regional development, enhancing the welfare of local residents, and reinforcing the unity between the TNI and the people as a foundation for safeguarding the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
