Indonesian Army Concludes Community Service Program in Alor, Sends Off 59 Task Force Personnel
ALOR, East Nusa Tenggara — The Indonesian Army Service for the People (Bhakti TNI AD untuk Rakyat) program in Alor Regency officially concluded on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. The closing ceremony took place at Veri Port in Binongko Village, Teluk Mutiara District, Alor Regency, and was marked by a troop assembly and the farewell of the Bhakti TNI AD Task Force personnel after successfully completing their community service mission.
A total of 59 joint task force personnel departed from the Kodim 1622/Alor Headquarters to Veri Ferry Port before returning to their respective units, namely Yon Arhanud 9/AWJ and Company C, Zipur 18/YKR, both based in Naibonat, Kupang. Throughout the program, the soldiers completed a range of physical infrastructure projects and non-physical community development activities that delivered tangible benefits to the people of Alor.
The closing parade was led by First Lieutenant (Inf.) Matias Modok, Operations Officer (Pasi Ops) of Kodim 1622/Alor, who officially declared the completion of the Bhakti TNI AD untuk Rakyat program in the regency. During the ceremony, he expressed appreciation to all task force personnel for their dedication, discipline, and unwavering commitment throughout the mission.
The departing troops were escorted to Veri Port by the Operations NCO (Bati Ops), Personnel Administration Staff (Bamin Pers), two intelligence personnel from Kodim 1622/Alor, and three members of the Public Affairs Unit (Pendim 1622/Alor). The farewell was conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reflecting respect and appreciation for the successful implementation of a program that further strengthened the bond between the Indonesian Army and the community.
The entire closing and departure ceremony concluded safely, orderly, and smoothly at 11:15 a.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA). The completion of the Bhakti TNI AD untuk Rakyat program in Alor marks another successful chapter in the Indonesian Army's community service efforts, delivering infrastructure development, social programs, and stronger cooperation between the military, local government, and the people.
