Zero Failure Mission: Korem 083 Successfully Secures Vice President Gibran's Official Visit


Banyuwangi – Commander of Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya, Colonel Inf. Wahyu Ramadhanus Suryawan, S.Sos., M.M.S., M.Han., serving as Regional Security Task Force Commander (Dansatgaswil), directly led the security operation for the working visit of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, to Banyuwangi and Situbondo on Friday (July 10, 2026).


The security operation was carried out in an integrated manner involving the Presidential Security Force (Paspampres), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), local governments, and other relevant agencies to ensure that the entire state agenda proceeded safely, orderly, and smoothly. From the Vice President's arrival until the conclusion of the visit, all personnel were deployed to their designated security sectors according to their respective duties and responsibilities.


The Vice President's working visit began with an inspection of the Banyuwangi Central Market to observe the progress of its revitalization and the community's economic activities. He then visited the Muncar Fish Landing Port (TPI Muncar), where he held discussions with local fishermen to gather input regarding the fisheries sector. The visit concluded with an inspection of the West Situbondo Toll Gate as part of efforts to strengthen regional connectivity and accelerate infrastructure development in East Java.


Throughout the operation, Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya implemented a layered security system covering travel routes, event venues, vital objects, and continuous monitoring of the Vice President's movements. Close coordination among all security elements was maintained to anticipate potential threats and ensure that every activity complied with VVIP security procedures.


The Commander of Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya emphasized that the successful security operation was the result of personnel readiness, the professionalism of the troops, and strong synergy among Paspampres, the TNI, Polri, local governments, and all supporting agencies involved.
