State Housing Enforcement in Malang: Korem 083/Bdj Prioritizes Legal and Humanitarian Approach

   

Malang – The enforcement of State/Military Service Housing for the Indonesian Army (TNI AD), Category II units G-23 and F-12, located on Jalan Urip Sumoharjo, Malang City, Thursday (September 3, 2026), once again underscored the importance of proper and orderly use of state assets.

The operation was led by Commander of Kodim 0833/Malang City, Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Dedy Azis, in his capacity as Field Coordinator for the enforcement. The activity was carried out as part of efforts to organize, secure, and properly manage state assets.

In principle, Category II State Housing is designated for active TNI personnel who meet the applicable occupancy requirements, including holding a valid Occupancy Permit (SIPR).

When the right of occupancy has expired, the state-owned residence must be returned to the authorized institution in accordance with applicable regulations.

Korem 083/Bdj emphasized that the enforcement involving units G-23 and F-12 was neither a personal matter nor an attempt to take away the rights of members of the public. Rather, the measure was part of efforts to organize, safeguard, and maintain proper administrative control over state assets.

The process had previously gone through a series of formal notifications, beginning in 2016 and continuing again in 2025.

The matter had also proceeded through the legal process, including before the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, through Decision Number 4381-K/Pdt/2023 dated February 27, 2024.

Separately, Commander of Korem 083/Bdj, Colonel Inf. Wahyu Ramadhanus Suryawan, S.Sos., M.M.S., M.Han., stated:

«“State housing has a clear function and designated purpose. When the right of occupancy has expired, the residence must of course be returned to the authorized institution. This is part of maintaining proper administration and safeguarding state assets.”

Korem 083/Bdj ensured that every stage of the process was carried out using a humane and persuasive approach and in accordance with legal provisions, while respecting all parties involved.
