Denpasar - An expression of sincere gratitude and highest appreciation for the hard work and dedication shown by Soldiers and Civil Servants of the Indonesian Army, because throughout the past 2022, various tasks mandated by the state have been completed properly.
This was conveyed by Kasad General TNI Dr. Dudung Abdurachman in his remarks read by the Chief of Staff of Kodam IX/Udayana Brigadier General Sachono, S.H., M.Sc., as Inspector of Ceremonies at the Flag Ceremony on 17 February 2023 at Field I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Praja Raksaka Kepaon Dormitory, South Denpasar.
Kasad revealed that in 2022 various tasks such as border security, natural disaster management, including handling stunting and food security issues, as well as other assistance tasks, have become clear evidence of the Indonesian Army's dedication to the nation and state.
"However, there are still various deficiencies that must be corrected immediately, namely that there are still various violations committed by Soldiers and PNS of the Indonesian Army, this must be our joint introspection so that this does not happen again in the future," said Kasad.
In connection with the current development of information technology that can make a person feel that he owns the world, Kasad advised all Soldiers and Civil Servants and their families to be wise in using Social Media, filter the information received before sharing it with friends and family.
"Furthermore, 2023 is entering a political year and ahead of the 2024 Presidential election. Therefore, I emphasize to the ranks of the TNI AD to maintain neutrality when carrying out their duties in facing the 2024 political year, as ordered from the President and the TNI Commander," said Kasad.
Regarding the current phenomenon of natural disasters which have resulted in fatalities, as well as damage to infrastructure and ecosystems which has resulted in a food security crisis and an increase in stunting problems, the Kasad ordered the ranks to carry out programs that have been implemented by the TNI AD to provide assistance to the Regional Government.
"I emphasize that the TNI AD must be present in the midst of community difficulties in whatever form and always be a solution, and take actions that have an impact on people's welfare, so that they are able to foster people's love and affection for the TNI AD," concluded Kasad ending his remarks.
