Korem 083 Commander Emphasizes Adaptability and HEBAT Values in Military Service
Malang – The presence of TNI soldiers in the community is not only aimed at maintaining stability and security, but they are also expected to become part of the solution to the various challenges faced by society. This message was emphasized by the Commander of Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya, Colonel Inf. Wahyu Ramadhanus Suryawan, S.Sos., M.M.S., M.Han., while leading the corps report ceremony for the release of Makorem 083/Bdj personnel at the Makorem Hall on Bromo Street No. 17, Malang City, on Thursday (June 18, 2026).
The deployment of personnel is part of Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya's efforts to meet manpower requirements within its subordinate units while strengthening the implementation of territorial development duties across the eastern part of East Java.
The soldiers will subsequently serve in various Kodim units under Korem's command according to organizational needs. With the addition of new personnel, territorial units are expected to optimize their role in regional development and public service.
In his remarks, the Korem Commander stressed that reassignment is a normal aspect of military life. In addition to being part of personnel development, such transfers are intended to enhance organizational effectiveness in responding to increasingly complex operational challenges.
According to the Commander, the success of territorial duties is largely determined by a soldier's ability to build close relationships with the community. Therefore, every soldier assigned to a new area of responsibility must be capable of understanding the local characteristics, identifying regional potential, and establishing effective communication with all elements of society.
"I hope that every soldier can adapt quickly to their new unit and area of assignment. Be soldiers who bring benefits to the community, help overcome people's difficulties, and uphold the good name of the unit wherever you serve," the Commander emphasized.
He also highlighted the importance of strengthening social communication with local governments, related agencies, religious leaders, community leaders, and all components of the nation. According to him, strong synergy serves as a key foundation for maintaining regional stability while supporting the success of development programs.
The Commander further stated that the unity between the TNI and the people must continue to be nurtured through concrete actions in the field. Therefore, every soldier is expected to implement the HEBAT values—Humanistic, Effective, Synergistic, Adaptive, and Resilient—as guiding principles in carrying out their duties and devotion to the nation and the state. If you'd like, I can also adapt this into a more polished international news style suitable for publication in English-language media. :::
