Strong Teamwork Drives Drainage Construction Under 129th TMMD Program in Lumajang
Lumajang – The spirit of gotong royong (mutual cooperation) was clearly demonstrated as personnel from the 129th TMMD (TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa) Task Force of Kodim 0821/Lumajang worked hand in hand with local residents to construct a drainage system in Ledok Tempuro Village, Randuagung District, Lumajang Regency, on Saturday (July 25, 2026). The close cooperation between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the community has become a key factor in accelerating the completion of this infrastructure project for the benefit of local residents.
Working with great enthusiasm, TMMD personnel and villagers jointly installed stone foundations and aligned the drainage channel according to the planned specifications. The strong sense of togetherness throughout the construction process reflected the close partnership between the TNI and the people in advancing rural development.
Task Force Platoon Commander Second Lieutenant (Letda) Czi Ori Yansa Garia said the successful progress of the drainage project was made possible by the active participation of local residents, who consistently worked alongside the TMMD personnel.
"The community's spirit of togetherness gives us the energy to complete the drainage project on schedule. Through mutual cooperation, the work becomes lighter, progresses faster, and the results can be enjoyed by all residents sooner," he said.
The drainage project will provide direct benefits to the community by improving water flow, reducing the risk of flooding and standing water during the rainy season, and creating a cleaner, healthier, and more comfortable environment. Better infrastructure will also support residents' daily activities while helping preserve the condition of roads around the settlement.
By maintaining the spirit of mutual cooperation, the 129th TMMD Program not only delivers essential infrastructure but also strengthens unity and solidarity between the TNI and the community. This reflects the TNI's commitment to supporting equitable rural development in line with the program's theme, "TMMD Unites Steps, Building the Nation from the Villages." (Pendim 0821)
