From Campus to Community, Danrem 083/Bdj Urges Graduates to Become Agents of Change

Pasuruan – University graduates are not only expected to possess strong academic abilities but are also encouraged to become part of the solution to various challenges facing society. This message was conveyed by Commander of Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya, Colonel Inf. Wahyu Ramadhanus Suryawan, S.Sos., M.M.S., M.Han., while attending the graduation ceremony of Universitas Merdeka Pasuruan as the representative of the Commander of Kodam V/Brawijaya at Hotel Ascent Pasuruan on Saturday (September 26, 2026).

In the message from the Commander of Kodam V/Brawijaya delivered by Danrem, the graduates were encouraged to become agents of positive change in their respective communities. Academic knowledge, he said, should be accompanied by clear and critical thinking, ethical conduct, concern for others, and a commitment to maintaining national unity.

The Commander of Kodam V/Brawijaya also expressed appreciation to the Rector and lecturers of Universitas Merdeka Pasuruan for their dedication in guiding and educating students. Education was described as strategically important because it not only develops professional competencies but also instills moral values, ethics, and national awareness in the next generation.

“May the dedication of the Rector and lecturers in guiding and educating the next generation become a lasting source of good deeds, bringing continuous blessings and rewards for the knowledge they have passed on,” the Commander of Kodam V/Brawijaya said in his message.
