Kodim 0820/Probolinggo Strengthens Community Health With TB Cadre Training Program

 

Probolinggo, Saturday, May 16, 2026 – In support of the non-physical activities of the 128th TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) Program for Fiscal Year 2026, Kodim 0820/Probolinggo together with Maron Community Health Center (Puskesmas Maron) organized a Tuberculosis (TB) Cadre Formation and Screening program using mobile phone barcode scanning through the E-TIBI application.


The activity, which began at 08.00 WIB until completion, took place at Puskesmas Maron, Maron District, Probolinggo Regency, and was attended by representatives of health cadres from all villages across Maron District.


Among those present were the Head of Puskesmas Maron, Dr. Nina Kartika, TB Coordinator B. Yeni, Maron Health Center nurse Jamil, Sergeant Sunarko from Koramil 0820/21 Maron representing the Danramil, as well as village health cadre participants.


The event began with participant registration, followed by the opening ceremony and the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, “Indonesia Raya.” In her remarks, representatives from Puskesmas Maron emphasized the important role of health cadres in supporting efforts to prevent and handle tuberculosis within the community.


“Through the establishment of health cadres and this digital-based screening system, we hope early detection of TB can be carried out more quickly and accurately, allowing treatment efforts to become more optimal,” said Dr. Nina Kartika.


Following the opening remarks, the activity continued with a pre-test to assess participants’ initial understanding of tuberculosis and the procedures for conducting barcode-based screening using the E-TIBI application. Participants then received presentations, discussions, and interactive question-and-answer sessions.


The program also included the distribution of cadre supervision areas and screening assignments for each participant to strengthen community health data collection and monitoring in every village.


Sergeant Sunarko, representing Danramil 0820/21 Maron, expressed appreciation for the synergy between healthcare workers, village cadres, and the TNI in supporting the 128th TMMD Program.


“This activity is a concrete example of cross-sector collaboration in raising public awareness about the dangers of TB while also strengthening community-based healthcare services,” he stated.


The activity concluded with an agreement on the schedule for reporting screening results, a closing session, and a group photo as a symbol of shared commitment to supporting public health programs in the Maron District area. ***
